MYCO-RESTORATION?

What is myco-restoration? Myco-restoration is when we use fungus to restore an ecosystem. Are you serious? Very serious.

You may have heard of this before, perhaps called Bio-Restoration. Or maybe not. It doesn’t matter whether this is totally new to you or not. What matters is it works and everyone can help in some way. We can actively make a difference in our world, our environment by small things in our own neighborhoods.

Of course, we already know a lot of what I’m going to say next, but how well do we actually implement this in our daily lives. So, as we go over this list, lets think about how we can do this everyday.

  1. Reduce - Be more efficient with our waste.

  2. Reuse- Try to find new purposes for products instead of discarding them.

  3. Recycle - Some things like plastics, aluminum or paper can be used to make new products. I’m sure we are all familiar with these items.

  4. Report - Now let’s keep our eyes open for any areas that are contaminated. I mean industrial areas and residential. If you see an area that looks like it needs some cleanup, contact the E.P.A. or click on our Book Now link and we will scout out the area to see if our services will help.

  5. Restore - If we can help than we will use our blend of indigenous, native fungi and plants to start the restoration process.

  6. Revitalize - After we have spread the spores, and planted the seeds, Mother Nature does her thing. Unique enzymes and other compounds break down these contaminants turning them into safe, usable materials for this new ecosystem. Before you know it, plants and animals will inhabit this area again.
