Gardening with Mushrooms?

Have you ever wondered if mushrooms were intentionally planted? Well, I would not only say yes they are, but I’m gonna show you how to do it.

Now, we don’t see them most of the time. But, our entire planet is engulfed with mushrooms or more precisely, Fungi. We only see the reproductive stage of the Fungi’s life cycle. That mushroom is just the delivery system for spores to be released. And there are a lot more ways of releasing spores than just gills. We won’t get into all that right now. We are talking about gardening.

Fungi can grow in so many environments and on various substrates. They have all kinds of amazing shapes and colors. It’s easy to see what a wonderful addition to any garden these guys could be. But, what we are discovering is that this fungal mat called mycelium has a symbiotic relationship to the plants. It seems that not only do they break down organic matter into some of the best soil, they also dictate which plants need what nutrient and deliver it to said plants.
